Great video!! OMG there are so many ways to make your hair thin so you have to be careful. My advice would be to switch your styles up and protect your hair! If you already have thin spots try using some rosemary and/or peppermint oil. Use those and massage them into the thin spots or all over. It’ll promote hair growth! It works!!! I love it!!!

shampoos that contain sulfates will thin your hair as well.

A healthy diet with a good amount of protein and water. Stimulating oils like Tea Tree ( if you can take the smell) and Peppermint are great.

yes, that half wig piece will mess your hair up. it’s cute at first; but then you start noticing the breakage right where the comb is going in. someone on yt said it won’t happen when you keep your hair moisturized. don’t know if its true, but i won’t be trying that again.

Have you ever tried Nu gro? If so what is your opinion on it?
June 18th, 2009 at 4:14 pm
Yea, I’ve used the castor oil twice and I’m liking it so far.

Yeah I agree. What might help with the half wig is if you wear a wig cap. I got that from ateya. Look at her you tube videos and you will see how to do it. I also have nu grow and I must say my 2 yr old daughter hair is growing. She still have that band that babies get.

I have a silk/satin pillowcase and it makes me really hot and sweaty so I usually wake up and the pillow is on my husbands head or on the floor but I do have a satin bonnet I sleep in. Thanks for all the info

Combing too hard can take the hair out too. If your hair is snap, crackle and popping when its being combed that’s the sound of hair breaking. All that breakage = thinner hair.

Pulling it back to tight into a band/scrunchie will cause your edges to break. My sating bonnet and head wraps always end up on the floor.

I know that when i used to wear the drawstring ponytails that really thinned my middle out and i think that because i would wear the ponytails a lot that it had a long term effect on the middle of my hair! now im natural but my middle is still the last thing to grow! i kno that after i would take my ponytail off my middle would be stupid soar and i cudnt touch my hair for a while! Umm also getting braids done too small n too tight can also thin ya hair out or just cause bald spots as well!

i have this spot in like the back of my head or the middle area. But it make sense now why that spot is thin from lying down. I lay down with the back of my head on the pillow. Its funny my very back of my hair near my neck is nice and curly then as soon as u move up a little to the middle of my head it starts to thin out alittle, I will definitely take ur advice and try not to sleep like that. Thank u so much I love ur vids

Also here is other factors that could be going on in the body such as hormones, lack of nutrients, stress, and for some its a combination of all these as well as what is beng done to the hair such as heat damage, cutting off circulation to scalp.Your scalp needs to breathe and by massaging your scalp helps to circulate blood and helping to absorb nutrients.Nice video..Its alot to know/research when it comes to hair their are so many factors.Hair needs rest the stress from platts, etc.Hope it helps..

How do you go from perm hair to natural hair without having to cut your hair off?
September 23rd, 2009 at 11:37 am
OMG thanks for the tips now I feel like there is nothing I can do to stop the loss of hair or to regenerate it, i wear braids all the time, sleep on my back, wear goodie bands, take medication that makes my hair fall out, and now I stop perming it and went natural and my hair feels thinner than it did permed and i don’t look good in a two strand twist. OMG I’m hopeless but thanks.

I’m 43 and decided to go natural. Because the females in my family after a certain age lose hair with relaxers.
